INTRODUCTION

AccuWeather is a world-renowned leader in global weather forecasting. The app is available in two free versions (for Android and iOS) while the latter also includes AccuWeather Platinum, its paid version. True to its name, the app regularly delivers accurate weather forecasts in order to save lives, protect property, and help people make plans.

FEATURES

When it comes to features, AccuWeather blends all options users strive to have in their weather apps.  AccuWeather crams all the necessary data on current weather conditions: humidity, UV index, visibility, pressure, and dew point, along with a table mapping wind characteristics (speed, direction, and gusts). If you are an outdoor person, you’ll surely marvel at the “Lifestyle Forecasts” option for your outdoor fitness, picnics, DIY projects, etc.

Those who are always on the move can check the weather forecasts for other locations before leaving their homes. You can also save an unlimited number of them and even store up to 10 Favorite locations.

Planning became easier as ever due to the hour-by-hour and minute-by-minute forecasts. Now, you always buy some time for changing your plans. And a bonus for the “thermometer non-believers” – the “Real-Feel Temperature” feature!

True “weather people” or those who just can’t wait to learn “what it looks like from space” will surely like a current radar map of the local storm systems’ movements, which can be animated. Besides just spectacular images of some unknown swirls, users can also see the severity of precipitation.

If too much reading and analyzing is not your cup of tea, do not get despaired! AccuWeather offers weather news and video forecast from your current location.

The rest of the features include AccUcast (used to share weather forecasts with those you take care of), severe weather alerts, custom themes, etc.

DESIGN

If you miss that good old swiping, AccuWeather’s UI is designed to your liking. The app is extremely easy to navigate and comprises just a few pages – all of them are a swipe or a tap away from each other. Most of the information is not “over-texted” but emblazoned with images, smart charts, and radar animated maps. Most buttons are presented in the form of small but extremely intuitive icons.

USABILITY

In terms of usability, AccuWeather impresses with its accuracy. To begin with, AccuWeather is extremely localized and excels at its specificity. Thus, this app indisputably leads the pack of other weather channels that suggest one-size-fits-all solutions.

Another reason to install AccuWeather is that it’s absolutely free (except for AccuWeather Platinum that has no ads). So, feel free to download it on your mobile device in order to stay tuned with things going on outdoors. It doesn’t just support Apple watch but remains cross-platform and ensures the world-class weather forecasting experience across all iOS and Android devices.

BOTTOM LINE

Of course, there are tons of mobile weather apps, but we’d strongly recommend AccuWeather. This app is a perfect blend of an easy-to-navigate design and complete package of options to make you know what to expect. Thus, you can feel free to plan your trips, outdoor fitness, dates, picnics, etc. around the potential coming storms.

AccuWeather is on the list of applications that offer a totally renewed experience to users, attracting them with a robust interface and clearly-appealing design. Being one of the highly appreciated apps, it has already reached thousands of installs. Besides, AccuWeather is introduced by AccuWeather and this fact is yet another evidence of the functional quality and high-standard of support. Everyone will find AccuWeather very engaging since this robust application answers all their expectations. That’s to say, the developers have moved beyond to ensure that US audience remains satisfied with a new app product, which not just occupies the space on your device but actually serves the initially set purpose. AccuWeather neither slows down your device nor interferes with other system apps you already have installed.

AccuWeather is one of those comprehensive apps in this category. Give it a go today!

I think the App itself is really nice; it’s the prediction accuracy that I am questioning. Today 29th Dec 2016 the precipitation at my location is expected to be less than 7% from 2am to 5am. However the night is very dark and it’s raining moderately

Love the app, but since upgrading to marshmallow I’ve noticed it’s a CPU and battery hog. I had to uninstall because of this. I’ll check back later to see if the issue is resolved. Still seems to be a bit of a battery hog. Plus, I’m not a fan of the new layout. There’s another weather app that I’ve been using that I like better. I’m bummed, because I grew up listening and relying on AccuWeather.

Best weather app in my opinion! And I tested dozens of them… It displays everything you need: temperature and precipitation graphically hourly or daily. It has maps Wind, humidity, when it is going to snow/rain and for how long, etc. It also provides weather alerts. A couple of suggestions though: Every time I open the app I have to do an extra click to find my current location… the default location settings for the app should be the current location (GPS -find me) rather than the first location from my location list. Another suggestion is to display on the graph (hourly) the amount of precipitation expected in addition to the probability.

WHY ? I paid $3 for the upgrade but it will not transfer to my new phone. The adds are back. Or I would give it a 5. Meanwhile, Accuracy usually good. Temp graph good But precipitation Line graph would be better. But the strange thing is, that forecasts for the next 120 minutes often do not agree with the hourly forecast, for the next two hours, or daily. Minute cast is so fun.

Very good. Like it better than the weather channel app. Slightly more accurate. However I dislike the notifications function. I don’t need warnings about boats and aircraft. How about an option for avoiding notifications for things that would not effect you. I assure you that I’m don’t have to worry about flying conditions everyday. I request an option for dual temperature scales. An option to see both Ferenhigt and Celsius should included.
